Acceptance of terms
By creating a GreenThumb account or using the GreenThumb service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.
The service
GreenThumb provides AI-powered plant identification, diagnosis, and care planning tools. The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated advice will be accurate in all cases. Always exercise your own judgement when following plant care recommendations.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use GreenThumb for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, reverse-engineer the application, or use automated means to scrape or harvest data.
AI-generated content
GreenThumb uses AI models to generate plant identifications, diagnoses, and care advice. This content is provided for informational purposes only and is not professional horticultural advice. AI outputs may contain errors. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Your content
You retain ownership of photos and text you submit to GreenThumb. By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process and store it for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will delete it if you close your account.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or pose a security risk to other users. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GreenThumb and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
